Lower Speedo Cable Grommet question
« on: December 19, 2012 - 09:33:11 PM »
So I looked at my OEM cable and I see the lower rubber grommet that was put on prior before each end, installed by the factory.
.
I could cut this in half and try to re-glue it on where it goes.
I have doubts this'll work doing that.

Any suggestions to make this work like it should be?

silicone lube , assuming the rubber is reasonably soft .

 i bought a nos on ebay.when i recieved it i noticed it was cut through the radie, radious??anyway,i asked the seller and he said the replacement grommets where like that? i bet if you cut the grommet with a razor,it will settle fine in the hole in the firewall when you install it.  :clueless:
