I installed my headliner myself and did not mark the holes for the mirror, visors or dome light but you can feel the tapered holes through the fabric easy enough as long as you know the orientation.Made no mistakes.

Before installing a new headliner, put screws in all the appropriate holes. After, the installation it's a lot easier to find the screws. Then poke your Phillips screw driver through the material and take the screw out....Now you have located your holes and the headliner has holes for the new screws. :clapping:

Hello, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I am getting ready to install my headliner and think I am missing some brackets that go on before the headliner is installed. I have found a picture of the shoulder belt clip brackets.  Are there any other brackets that I might need, such as for the coat hanger? I bought this car taken apart and in boxes and finding out that I am missing a lot of the little pieces :pullinghair:

I think most of that stuff goes on after the headliner is installed. The only thing I recall pre installed was the dome light ? I have pictures of most of my roof prior to install if that will help?
eh

I am building out of a box of parts too!

Here is a picture I found.  It looks like they screw to the roof rail then the headliner goes over the bracket.

I found my mirror holes by poking a sewing pin through the vinyl. The hole is so small that it is not visible if you miss. Turned out I got mine first time anyway. Grope around by pressing your finger on the mounting spot and you will feel where it is supposed to go. Once you find one hole you can mount the mirror and that will guide you to the other two.
