I think your color combo with the stripes look great.
Mine is gold with green interior, and green vinyl top. Probably low on the desirability scale. I find people either love it, or they love high impact colors. Of course, there are so many clones and wanna be's that a car with an original color combo will be even more rare.
I wouldn't change a thing, if I were you.
