To stroke or not to stroke
« on: January 06, 2013 - 03:07:17 AM »
I am putting a 72 challenger together for my daughter and due to a bad body/paint job I am starting over. The engine I have is a supercharged 360 with W2 heads and TTI exhaust. Now that I have all winter to do it I'm thinking about pulling the engine back apart and putting in a stroker rotating assembly. I was just wondering for what its worth if that would make enough difference in horsepower and torque to justify the cost. Any opinions?

always good for at least 1 hp per cubic inch, and probably more with your blower.
careful on what CR you end up with, with that blower!
make sure blower is capable of feeding the larger motor! maybe not be!
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
