73 cHALLENGER AND BUMPERS STICK OUT??

i HAVE A 73 CHALLENGER i BROUGHT BACK FROM THE DEAD, POORED MY HEART AND SOUL, IN PLUS BUSTED KNUCKLES
Question: The front and rear bumper stickout a couple inches from the body?? On  a 73 were there rubber pieces that went in between the body and bumper??

What s an easy solution if I want the bumpers to fit snug to the body, cut and reweld the old brackets?

The easiest solution is to get a set of 72 bumpers and brackets.  You might have to drill a hole or two to get them positioned.
If you poke around in the resoration section I think you'll find a few guys who have done this

Or you could slot the holes in the brackets.
