Does the reverse light stay on whenever the key is on even if you unplug the switch at the trans? If so, you need to look at the wiring going from the firewall down to the trans switch. If the reverse light comes on when you step on the brakes, use turn signals or headlights, make sure your taillight housings are properly grounded to the body.
