I'll say I'm back down to 15K as to the worth.
Flood car with a salvage title.
What a pain in the ars.
I'd be the dumb ars that would do it though.
If you have 40K to spend on a car, I'd walk away from it and get another without these problems.
There are other's for sale.

It's a small internet world.  Found that one pretty quickly.
Don't be so up tight. I'm sure these other guys here had the chance to buy every car I have purchased before I even saw them.

f ing idiot and d bag all from a guy with 6 posts, and here I thought it was cool that I had someone close to me that would be getting a good deal on a cool car. Oh well maybe we will run into each other at a local cruise night and you will realize I am neither. Thanks and happy cruizing life is to short.

If someone was series and knows about these problems and confronts the current owner with the amount of work that is involved and produces the facts to him to get a better deal, to save this car, as it does deserve to be saved, he would have to reduce the price considerably to allow someone who really wants this colour combo and it is a rare and desirable car too, at the right price it is a solid car that needs total stripping of parts only, NO panel beating or painting involved which is a bonus. It would have to be a labour of Love to bring it back.
