AC Heater Box Drain
« on: March 06, 2012 - 12:54:11 PM »
I'm in search of the drain section that attaches to the threaded fitting on the firewall coming from the heater box.
Any idea where I can get this?

If you refering to the L shaped rubber tube that attaches to the stub that sticks through the firewall, R/T Specialties has them, about $15.00. It is held on by a large one way spring washer.

The L-shaped rubber tube is the drain from below the blower motor, which I already have. I'm looking for the drain section that should attach to the threaded pipe section that comes out just below where the main AC fittings come through the firewall from the heater box.

I just looked at my freshly restored a/c box. The only threaded fitting I have
is the low pressure side of the a/c lines. The drains just terminate at the firewall.
Do you have any pictures of the area you're talking about?
If I cant fix it, it's broke

It's actually an "L" shaped tube with a "duck bill" end on it.
Does that help?

R/T specialties, it is the drain tube for the ac condensation.
