I just had to get this off my chest. This isn't meant to start a political debate. It's more about the very survival of our nation. To remain solvent, to provide a strong military and be prosperous once again. I love America, but I am ASHAMED of our members of congress. They need to
wake up & do their job!
It doesn't matter what you believe...republican, democrat, libertarian, independent, liberal or conservative. It is about the very survival of our nation. if you are a warm blooded American, you too should be concerned and ashamed. We need to write our members of congress and tell them how we feel. I think we should give them ALL the boot. So today I wrote them all (from my state) and told them this:
To the Honorable Senator _____,
Shame on you.
I love the United States of America. Land of the free & home of the brave. It’s too bad we don’t have some brave men & women in congress. I love our country, but I am ashamed of our congress. It’s been 4 years and no budget has been passed. Mr. Panetta has recommended cutting the pay of our members of the military. How about cutting your pay for NOT doing your job. How about not pandering to special interest groups and lobbyists and worrying about the next election and doing the job you were elected to do!
We can’t deploy our aircraft carriers, but we can afford to pay for health care? Since when was it the business of government to provide health care? It IS the business of government to provide a military! Now we are looking at furloughs for civilian military workers. How about instead of cutting the jobs and throats of hard working Americans, we cut aide to foreign countries. Countries we give aide to that could care less about America and would cut our throats if they had the chance. We have millions of people out of work. Upside down mortgages & people living on the streets, yet we can afford to give amnesty and benefits to 11 million ILLEGAL immigrants?
What happened to statesmen, men of valor and honor? Is serving in congress simply a job now? Do you really care about this nation, because we have trillions in debt, no budget and yet we continue on with wasteful spending, frivolous bills when Americans are losing homes, jobs and hope for this nation. Our children will be paying for our mistakes for decades. Do you even care? Because it doesn’t show.
Do we need to make cuts? Absolutely. Responsible cuts. Responsible spending. We have people living off the system. People who could work, but won’t. People that have better cars and clothes and appliances than many hard working Americans. Let’s cut some there. Let’s put them to work that can work! Let’s reform our horrible tax codes that tax monies that have already been taxed!
Wake up!! I am ASHAMED of you!! Do what you’re paid to do. Stop the partisan politics! Do we need to put all of you in a room, lock the door and keep you there until you come up with a budget? United we stand, divided we fall and we as a nation are falling HARD!
You are supposed to represent the very people that put you in office. “We the people”. Does that mean anything anymore? Take a good hard look at yourself. Are you proud of the job you’ve done? No budget in 4 years? With that kind of record would you still be employed in the private sector? Shame on you!! Please stand up!! Stand out if necessary & make this nation strong and proud again!!
