Yes it's another tire question
« on: March 12, 2005 - 02:20:00 AM »
I'm looking at putting on a set of 275/60/15 BFG drag radial's on a wheel size of 15" 4.5" BS 8" wide on my '73 Challenger,   will this combo fit in a stock '73 Challenger wheel well?   If matters this is a nice day weekend cruiser car not a drag car.

If you are looking at BFG drag radials you must be planning on racing your car. RPM of motor is quite different between the 275 60 and 50 tires. With the 340  I ran the 50 series with 4.10 gears and driving to the track was stressful to say the least.  After switching to the 402 stroker I changed to the 60 series because there was more torque and did not want to rev as high.

The 60 series filled the wheel well better. But either will fit.
