Rotisserie Q.
« on: March 13, 2005 - 03:48:48 PM »
I have a rotisserie and I'm trying to find a way to bolt it on the front and back. I was thinking of bolting the front to the frame with the bumper frame bolt but the back I can't figure out how to do it. Does someone have pics they can post on how they did it. Thanks

I'm planning on building one similar to this:

and attatching the car to it in the same way (front bumper bracket mounts, and rear bumper mount holes, using reinforcement plates behind the crossmember.

I have mine mounted using the bolt locations for the front bumpers in the front.  On the back I had to fabricate a bracket on my rotissery to mount to the location where the back bumper brackets mount.

A friends father welded up some square stock to some 1/4" angle iron, we drilled the angle iron for the rear bumper mounts on my cuda & his charger, slid the stock into the rotis arms & drilled & tapped the rotis arm & put in a bolt to lock em in, this is the best pick I could find , not very clear, if I can locate the pics I took of the part we made I'll post it later! I had called the company who made my rotisserie and they have a adapter for a E-Body. It's so easy, I wish I would have thought of it. I'll try to post a pic. It attaches to the leaf spring holes in the back.(Not my car in the pic by the way, just a sales pic.)

Now that makes life a little easier, ;D on the front i just redrilled the rotis to add a second bolt to the orig bumper mt holes(they are not in a straight line on the cuda) didn't like the amount of sag? flex? with only one bolt! Rich.
