I went to a track day event at Inde Motorsports Ranch in Wilcox, AZ on Saturday. I've been busting my butt trying to get the Cuda ready, but sadly I couldn't get the hydraulic throw out bearing full bled so I had to give up on taking my car. I went to the event anyway and my buddy let me drive his Corvette Z06 for 2 of the 20 minute sessions, so it was still a lot of fun.
We were sharing the track with the SRT Viper team who was there doing testing. They had 3 Vipers there and stacks and stacks of tires to play with (and yes the Bilstein shock truck as well). The Vipers were surprisingly quiet on the track. The dark colored car is an engineering car that had a roll bar in it and they said they used that one for high speed testing. The red Viper was the same one that was in the Jay Leno's garage youtube video. Since it's a production car they were nice enough to let anyone check it out, sit in it, etc. One of the drivers is also one of the lead SRT development engineers so he was cool to talk to and hear his opinions on the various SRT cars. Anyway it was awesome to see them both up close and on the track.
