Best places to find motors?

Just found out the cam in my 413RB has more bad lobes then good ones, and now there is quite a bit of metal floating around somewhere. Before I have the engine sent out for an pretty expensive rebuild, any ideas on a replacement? My 74 Cuda originally came with a 360, but just looking for other ideas for a nice street car engine, preferably under $5 grand?

Why not go back to  360, not many made with that engine-

Yeah, need to change the K frame and headers, but this would work. Anybody have any experience with Mancini motors?

I think the K frame is the same, if it's stock.  Just need to change the motor mounts and headers then.
correct me if I'm wrong.

The K's are the same between BB and SB.  You would have to change the exhaust, trans and electrical.  It would be great if you could find a running 400 to drop in there for the time being.

This isn't the best idea but I've heard of people just replacing the cam/lifters and doing a couple quick oil changes.  That would be cheap and may get you by until you can really tear it down.

To be "frugal and prudent", I'd also pull the pan when you change the cam and then I'd pull a rod and main cap and look at the bearings. If they're hurting, then you're into a bigger job. Easier to yank the engine if you've already got the top end off. You can do it on the cheap, since if the journals look OK, I'd just slap a set of new bearings in and button it back up. Pull the oil pump and inspect/flush it as well and you'd be crazy to have it down this far and not throw a new timing chain and gears in it as well. Kinda a Bruce County rebuild, but you'll do it for a lot less than $5000- and be able to sleep at night, too. Just my

For what it's worth, I'd vote for a 400 stroker. You knock down some weight, and retain the stroke, but end up with a motor that spins up like  a chainsaw. 

And as othes have pointed out to me when I've asked, I believe the K-frames are all the same except for slant six and HEMI's.

Im kinda curious why the MRE/STANTON - 360/375HP Magnum Crate Engine from Mancini is more expensive than the 408 Stroker A engine.  Even though its just a $100 difference seems like more work went into the Stroker.  Any insight?

OK, so after considering all my options, I have decided to have the 413 rebuilt, so it will remain one of a kind, LOL. Hope it will all be back together in time for Carlisle. Thanks for all your suggestions, will have pictures when I am done.
