68 Coronet RT Value
« on: March 16, 2005 - 02:47:43 PM »
What do we think a 68 Coronet RT is valued. It has a rebuilt 440 in it but it is not the original 440. The shape of the car is about the same shape as the 71 Cuda that burpin sold last year if not a bit worse. He is asking 7k but im hoping to get him too 5.5k. Without pics cause Burpin didnt have his camera and it is about an hour away, do yall think Burpin can flip this. It is yellow.

It's tough to say without pics, but I'm with you. I would hope he would go lower than 7K.

The Bees and the R/T just don't seem to get the really big numbers like the Chargers and Road Runners
but the prices are going up :burnout:

I love the way the 68 Coronet looks.  Better than the 69, IMO.  Add a 6 pack, and, have some fun!

440 4spd Dana cars will be higher in value but without seeing a pic I think you're in the right ball park.

The guy I bought my 400 block off of had one on ebay and it was in much worse condition that the one you described and it sold for 5k, so Im think at 7k....its worth it and at 5.5k its really really worth it. BTW, the guy's R/T was a 68 and needed new 1/4s, new interior, it had lots of rust, and didnt even run....I didnt think it was worth 5 grand, but the bidders seemed to.

Sounds like your on to something there Burpin, and I agree with your evaluation of around 5K, but the prices these cars are bring is something else, a seller has a price in mind and usually sticks to it. Unless he needs or wants some quick cash he knows someone will come around who had one when he was a young guy and his dream is to resto his high school car............now if he could just find the hot chicks he used to take for a ride........hmmmmmmmmmm. lol. Go for it and good luck, and when you go back to talk money take your camera, OK?

OK

By the way, Burpin has girls trying to get rides all the time. Burpin lives in Nacogdoches, TX which is home of SFA State University. It is known as the Texas party school. And believe Burpin when Burpin says they party. Not that Burpin parties with them, Burpin just sees them party. And the girls always try to flag down Burpin for a ride. Burpin just waves and drives on. Once they were in the car it would be all over for Burpin.

Cash talks - if the guy is serious I think he will take 5.5
Did I mention I hate selling cars?
