1973 dodge dart sport. $5000
« on: March 09, 2013 - 10:19:28 AM »
Found a sweet 73' dart, 318, 904 tranny, runs and drives fine. Here is a picture http://www.dhmotorsports.net/pictures/orangedart/cl9.jpg

Is that a slight dent on the tail panel, or is it just the angle, shadow of the pic?
Also, what kind of description do you have on the details? body work, frame, etc....

Hmmmmmm, seems to have disappeared in this pic, so it either was fixed, or the angle.

Still, details will help...

"1973 Dart Sport, orange (obviously), mildly warmed over 318 ( headers, small cam, edelbrock carb), 904 trans, 8.25 rear axle. Original V8 car, not a 6 cyl car originally.Car runs and drives, it is currently registered and insured, we drive it a couple times per week. Would prefer to sell, but will consider trade for 4x4 vehicles in running, driving, insurable condition (preferably Jeep or Dodge)."

havent called yet but here is the description, everything I know comes from this.

Much respect for the seller being up front with the problem area pics.
With bubbles and rust areas in the lower quarters, upper quarter/trunk gutter lip etc.... you should have some wiggle room with the price, as this is beginning of more rust related issues obviously popping up in the near future. How much is hidden under that bright paint? Would ask for more details as to what was replaced for panels in the past and what was done in general with the body work. You can detect how much bondo was used by checking with a safe, tiny magnet on the panels. Any honest seller should not have an issue with this, if he is upfront with you about what was done and has nothing to hide.
Also, what are your intentions with buying this? Is it for just having fun and driving on a daily basis, or you looking for an eventual restored, show car, only out on sunny weekends?

My main intentions are to use this as a daily driver. When I am able too I will probably call the owner to check the car out, maybe i will go tomorrow if I can. I want to make sure this is a good car and not a bondo bucket.

looks like a nice enough car, i think still a little overpriced tho, i would think 3500-4000.  I paid 3000 for this one in 2008 in San diego and sold it for 4k in 2010, pretty much same stats as this one, warmed over 318, ran and drove great etc.  super straight body with a less than a year old paint job that looked killer, top was in great shape, only issue was the rear bumper chrome was pitted.  just my  :2cents:
