An option to try is to soak in Evaporust overnight.
Then use electrical contact paste.

Evaporust is available at Harbor Freight. Small jug is like 8-10 bucks.
Electrical contact paste is found usually at O'rielly's on the front counter.

I had an issue once with an iffy back-up light. Mine turned out to be a poor ground between the socket and taillight housing.

hey guys i appreciate the reply's..after cleaning the socket..the bulb is super loose and the bottom fiber or plastic that holds the brass leads in place so it contacts the bulb elements is junk...if i cant find anything suitable as a replacement i will probaly work on saving it...it unplugs from the harness so nice..a new one would replace it so nicely!!..lol maybe i'm dreaming..

ok guys i found my problem!..i decided i was going to replace this dam socket..sooo i decided to take apart the one giving me grief...i cut the plastic covering that is around the wires at the base of the socket..and i found that the single wire conector (ground) had a broken tab..so no complete ground...it was trying to ground thru the housing i guess..anyway...i sand blasted the socket and then soldered the grd tab to the housing..retaped it up and guess what a functioning turn signal!!!! before it would work on flashers but not turn signal..hope that one helps someone else!!
