SCCA-style TA spoiler - where? who?
« on: March 11, 2013 - 03:20:40 PM »
A while back, maybe a couple of years somebody posted, both here and on moparts, about making SCCA-style TA font spoilers if enough people signed up. I can't find hide nor hair of that thread. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Yeah, but the Challegner version never got enough deposits to make it to the presses. The coordinator had to head back to school and I think the whole things has been dropped.

I'm tired of waiting. I'm planning on buying another valance at Carlisle amd making an aluminum one similiar to the one on Sam Posey's car.  Can't be that difficult?

Sweet!  Can't wait to see what you build.

Nah, not hard at all. You just need a big piece of aluminum with some braces.

The big advantage to ABS was the ability to bend/wear unlike a steel or fiberglass unit which could possibly damage the valance and surrounding parts if it got hit.

I've been really looking at what drewcrane did in modifying SRT8 spoiler onto the front of his challenger.  I'm using all repop sheetmetal anyways on my car.

I'm in Canada, so the shipping would likely cost more than you could buy them for locally? They are not expencive?

I'm most likely going to get another valance and build something off of that. So if I get tired of it I can just bolt on the old set up?

I'll get in touch with this guy and see what the word is now, but I'm betting things haven't changed.
