Which grille to get
« on: April 24, 2013 - 04:03:36 PM »
Hey guys,

I've got a 71 RT. I am fixing to order some sheet metal parts.

From what I can see 71 grilles are not reproed, neither are the headlight buckets or surrounds. I need all of that.

I did see 70's are repopped, and I do prefer that grille style. I've searched and it said a 70 grille requires some work, but it wasn't totally listed on what it required. Since I need everything grille and headlight wise anyway, I am thinking of going this direction. Any thoughts?

Second, I am looking at valance panels one is noted as being "quality steel" while the other is "oem steel" I called and this means either domestic or foreign manufacture. Any reason to go with domestic over the foreign ones, I know the foreign ones are a lot cheaper.

Third, I am looking at floor pans and they are listed without flange. I assume this refers to the piece that goes up onto the rocker area?
Moreover, should I get the partial pan or the full? One looks like a way better product (the first one).

Thanks for any help
