    Any updates?


    My new ICE Ignition is in and the car is up and running for the first time in months. We found the old coil had very little spark coming from it and thought the leads were a little too small, so I decided to bite the bullet, go with ICE, and replace the entire system - leads, dizzy, coil and CDI box. Car fires up better than ever, and now all it needs is a shot on the dyno for some fine tuning.

    After reading the info regarding the ammeter bypass, he decided to leave it as is, but also run a wire from the ALT directly to the battery to reduce the load through the ammeter.

    That's awesome Russ, bloody great news. I bet it feels good to see it running again.

    I'm sure mine will end up the same. I've gone with the MSD 6AL2, MSD dizzy, coil and leads. I just need to find time to do it all (new job is taking all my energy).

    Ignition arrived and it's all in and wired up, just need to sort the leads and fire it up. Hopefully tomorrow! (Have to do wife stuff today LOL)

    That's good to see mate. Hope it works out.

    Mine is going good. No problems. Seems to have done the trick. Goes in for a Dyno tune on Wednesday for some fine tuning.

    Good to hear mate.

    My car seems to be sorted, started first go. This ignition is so much better, starting it's especially noticeable. As easy to start as a modern car now! Timing is perhaps slightly retarded, I'll get a light on it in due course and check.

    Thanks. Running a Comp CRB XE275HL-10 cam, TTI headers, twin 3" exhaust with Hooker Aero Flows.

    I love the sound but hate the drone, I don't know how to tackle it though...

    Car is running sweet now, I reckon it was the distributor's magnetic pick up.

    Do you have power brakes and if so do you pull enough vacuum with that cam to properly operate the booster?
