    I used to run Rotella and I know a lot of racers do, but I've been told because it is a diesel oil that it lacks the detergent qualities contained in other oils. So I went with a synthetic oil.

     Alright young gun here trying to make send of this "all over the Internet" subject.

    I can run any oil as long as it's 10w30 or 15w30 and meets the CI-4 or CI-4 PLUS certification.

    Correct or not? Currently my car has Mobil 1 synthetic in it.

    The new Rotella synthetics (T5, T6) do not have high zinc levels, but the triple protection conventional does...
