could not believe it.
I was in my favorite salvage yard today dismantling a 68 mustang fastback for my youngest sons Elanor clone project.
Walking a path I had walked 20 times while going in and out.
Looked over and there 5 yards away, peeking out from under a buick was the unmistakable firewall of a cuda. Heart skipped a beat, could this be the hemi I am looking for
yup, 1970 cuda, 4 spd car. no vin tag, no fender tag, no radiator mount.
Looking around I found the bucket seats nearby and the dash, but no back seat.
I looked in the backs of the bucket seats and sure enough, there was a partial build sheet.
BS23N0Bxxxxxx, which matched the vin stamped in the cowl. 383 car.
Still has a nice 4 spd hump with console brackets and the 4 spd steering column, but pedals are long gone as is the engine, trans and rear end.
Man I love this junkyard more every trip.
Very exciting, still have not seen everything.
I had walked within 5 yards of this car in plain site at least 20 times.
Also located a couple rear ends that could be dana's. Not very familiar with dana's yet, so not sure but I plan to learn.
