Torque thrust-m bore size?

As much as I would love to put the new year one rallye's on my car, I can't see spending that much on rims. That being said, I aslo like the American Racing torque thrust- m series(either black or grey).
I have seen them on some cars here and have a question.
The center bore size that they gave me for those rims are 72.6mm(2 55/64").  When I measure the center bore of my old 14"rallyes they seem just a tad bigger.

My question is do they fit.

Correct, I had to grind the lip on the rim register a little.
They are Ford rims

The rotor on my car measured 71.6. They fit great, no grinding front or rear.

Mine's a '73, Katfish has a '70, may account for the different experience.

Depends on the specific rim too,

The 17x8 up front had larger register (generic fit), no grinding.
18x9's are Mustang rims and needed a trim.

I have 17X9's on the front and 17X10.5's on the rear. I think Goody said he had to touch up the 18" ones he put on the rear as well.

I'm going with 17x8. If they don't fit can I grind them with a small hand grinder or do I need to take it to a machine shop?
Do they had to be perfect to ride smooth?

It is more for balancing the wheels at the tire shop that the center bore and chamfer need to be concentric with the rim.  On the car, the wheel locates by the lug nuts.

I did mine by hand, but you shouldn't have to do anything to the 17x8s
