Fiberglass decklid
« on: March 26, 2013 - 03:07:26 PM »
Just go my new decklid from US Body Source, it's the heavy duty version not race weight, anyone have experience with these?  Just curios if I should be concerned about the trunk springs bowing the lid like the springs with glass hoods do

Looks nice, is the spoiler molded in?

I wouldn't think warping like the hood would be a problem.
Much less weight, and much shorter length.

Trunk springs should put a lot less pressure compared to hood springs due to the huge difference in weight.

Looks good, how's she fit?  Did you also buy a fiberglass hood from them?

Thanks,
Joe

Yeah the spoiler is molded in, Fits pretty good, will ahve to drill for the trim, came woth all new bolts for the hinges and latch, will need a little adjustment, did a test fit yesterday, as for the hood, they don't make a T/A hood anymore so I had to look elsewhere, and the never got aroun the the SRT10 ram style hood for ebodies.

Thanks BM, once I had it on  I realized there is no spring pressure on it when it's down, just when it's up
