Shaker Hood Emblems
« on: July 08, 2005 - 05:43:40 PM »
Does anybody know where I can get 2 emblems that fit a '71 shaker hood Challenger that say "340 Six Pack"?  I've searched the internet and YO and come up empty.  Just putting the finishing touches on my car, and I can't find these anywhere.  I'll have pic's as soon as I get it back from the body shop.

Thanks in advance your help!

Sorry about that, it says "340 Four Barrell".  Are the shaker hood ones and the rallye hood ones the same?

No one makes a hood emblem that says 340 six pack.

Shaker emblems are 3-pin.  Rallye hood emblems are 2-pin.

Might want to take a 440-six pack emblem and a 383 Magnum emblem and make a 340 Six Pack emblem. :dontknow:

No, the Shaker emblems are shaped to fit the bubble.

Who has the 440 Four Barrell .... or 440 Magnum to fit the shaker bubble?   Dave at Roseville??

On the customer 340 Six Pack emblems.   There was a guy on ebay that advertised custome emblems to match.  His ebay id is "DCW56".   I believe that they are a restorataion shop.  He did the white challenger at Carlisle that was on display for YEAR ONE about 3 years ago.   It was a 70 SRT8 .... with a metal 6.1 Hemi emblem that looked old school like the 1970.   Does anyone know this guy?

there was no 340 six pack shaker so it would have to be custom made

I realize this is an old thread topic, but thought I'd reply to it anyway, rather than starting a new one since "ajantics" referenced Custom Auto Emblems.  2 years ago, I placed an order with Custom Auto Emblems for a pair of emblems for my SHAKER bubble.  Unfortunately, at that time, they couldn't be made because David and his machinist parted ways shortly after I placed my order.  Ever since my order got cancelled, I've been contacting David about every 4-6 months to see if he ever hooked up with a new machinist.  Finally, at the end of 01/2013, he said he was back to making emblems.  It was a rather slow process to get them made because David runs this as a side business, but it was well worth the wait.  Total cost was $165.00.  Very reasonable price for a pair of "one-off" custom milled billet aluminum emblems.  The dimensions, lettering and numbering styles are the same as the original SHAKER emblems.  I've also attached a CAD drawing of the emblem that was submitted to me for approval.  The drawing is based on my specific instructions for the emblems.
