New PHR has part two of Mopar Big Block build, with final HP numbers. I think they lost power
by going with dual quads, and less aggressive cam (not that 657 hp is something to sneeze at)!

they're putting the all aluminum 500 cu in motor in a Valiant!!!
The motor weighs what the Valiant's slant six weighs!!

They very well may have given up some power with dual quad edelbrocks, but ultimate power wasn't an objective of the build. A vintage muscle look with fair power in a reasonable rpm range at lightweight were the bigger goals.

Very cool build up that I'd love to have; 500 inches in a low deck that weighs in like a slanty? That is way cool. Am I willing to spend an extra $6-7k to get that, Hmmm, I dunno.

Well, a big single plane, HP Holley, and diff cam would add 50 to 70 hp!  Personally, I'd take the extra 70 hp, and put
a big 440 six pack hood scoop on it.
