Proform / Quickfuel .
these are the most responsive & adjustable carbs I have found & used , Mancini seems to have the best pricing on the Proform which are lower cost than QF , the next choice would be the Holley HP series which also have fully adjustable Idle & Jet bleeds etc

Holley hp 950 82951 model number. I can get one shipped for 500 bucks brand new, is that a good deal?

or preform 950 67202 with aluminum body and billet plates for 619 shipped. I am leaning towards the preform even though its a hundred dollars more.

found what I think is a pretty rock bottom price for a new Holley hp 950. 470.99 shipped to my door. too much of a difference imo to choose the best preform price I could find. you were right Neil, quickfuel was on average a hundred bucks more than the preform. I think I can live with that price and its the same size as my stroker so maybe its destiny lol.

You won't be dissappointed with the Holley. Like Chryco said, they are very adjustable and responsive. I am runnnig two - 750 HP's and they are a breeze to keep tuned.....  Plus, Holley parts and pieces are at every parts house almost. If you have a problem, you can go to just about any parts sore and get parts for them.... :2thumbs:
