hey everyone ! getting a 71 challenger rt 340 4 speed 4 barrel with 3:92 rear my question is i found out my car wqas made in 12/1970 in hamatrack sequence number 257411  i know there was only  1,078 340 pkgs made , does anyone have any idea  how i could find out what number rt this is? such as 466th made or how to find out how many were made at hamatrack ? thanks

You can try Barry Washington's registry, but I doubt you will find out.   :grinno:

The correct info is simply NOT available ! Not Barry Washington, not Galen Govier, not even the Chrysler Corp. could tell you the info you want, it does not exist.

Now.....If you want to know what R/T you have of all the known examples registered in a registry today....then that's a different story and rather useless information anyways... :2cents:

They would all have been made at Hamtramck. No Ebodies made in Los Angeles after the 1970 model.  They seem to have been made pretty evenly throughout the model year, some even as late as July, 1971.  So you can at least say that yours would be right in the middle, someplace.
