Steering column / Fat Guy
« on: May 03, 2013 - 03:26:46 PM »
Ok, I love driving my challenger and I know I need to loose some weight and honestly I expect I will loose weight before doing anything about this, but my question is... Is there a way to move the wheel closer to the dash by say 1 inch. Do they make a shorter crush can? I am not a fab guy so I am looking for bolt on answers. I know I should just put a tilt in it but 600 bucks is just not going to do it. I also thought about moving the seat back but do I really want to drill holes?  :grinno:

Try this. Moves the seat back with out changing the floor or seat tracks, just need to make 4 brackets.

Thanks for the help. I had one question. Do the electric seat adjusters slide back further then the non-electric?

You can do a tilt conversion for a bit less than $600. Shelbydogg has a post about how to do it with a Cordoba column. Cost you a few $ to buy the old column, a trip to the boneyard and some time. :2cents:
