Factory Power Steering?
« on: May 07, 2013 - 01:10:08 PM »
Still fairly new here and I've gotten some great advice while (still) looking for a 70 Cuda. Learning a great deal about Cuda's while asking questions here, sorry for some of the naive questions but I wont learn unless I ask. Some of the cars I've seen have power steering, some not. I looked at a pro-touring resto-mod with all kinds of mods (TKO 5-speed, 4-wheel wilwood disc brakes, air suspension etc). But it didnt have power steering. You'd think to put that much money and time into a car they would have added power steering. But I see others with power steering. Was it an added option in 1970? Were the majority of Cudas sold with or w/o power steering? Did it depend on the model or options? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Power steering was an option (S77) for $90, nearly 50% got this option in 1970
