Wtb: 72-74 Barracuda(or Challenger)
« on: March 02, 2005 - 06:08:37 PM »
Looking for an E body to park next to my 71 Dart Swinger(almost done on a driver quality refresh)!

Looking for a 72-74 Barracuda in/near Texas.  Prefer a mostly complete car but will consider most any 72-74 Barracuda (or Challenger).  Color, motor, trans not important.  Please email me if you have or know of a 72-74 Ebody that is for sale in/near Texas.  Might also consider a 70-71.  THANKS

Cash in hand and ready to buy :coffee:

Well I hope to find something in the $8500-$13000 range.  However I might go more for a good car.   I am not looking for a # matching big block 70 for that kind of money. But just a nice cruise car that I can enjoy and do little here and there to make it a little nicer.

Thanks and any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks! Been hooked on Mopars for a long time!! Had a 71 Demon 340 and a 71 RoadRunner 383 in high school (1989-1991).  I had a 69 RoadRunner, 70 Lemon Twist Barracuda, and a 74 Challenger along the way.  Now that I can afford to buy one, sit it in the garage, and enjoy it from time to time without having to sell it to make ends meet, I am looking for an E-body.

I am not going to get in a rush to buy a car. I sure don't want to spend 20k on parts when I could buy a nearly completed car for that. I am looking for a car that I can keep from now on.   So I am going to put the ads out and see if I can find me a driver to enjoy for a few years and then have it restored later when I can afford a "quality" resto!

So I will keep reading the papers, scanning the net, asking around at shows, and all of that :coffee:

Welcome carcrazy, you shouldn't have a problem finding a fairly nice 72-74 for that price. We'll all keep our eyes open.. :)

I will keep you updated.
:coffee: So far nothing new in the garage. :newsad:

But I did happen across a 1970 Duster FJ5 (Lime Green) long term project that I could not pass up on.  But it is going to be a while before that is ready to  :driving:  But the lime green just screamed "BUY ME, FIX ME UP, AND DRIVE ME" :grinyes:
