Hello friends some of you may remember that my car was competing for the cruise national witch was held at the 2013 international auto show and with all your guys help and support the car took home the grand champion and then the car was entered into Maga Speed custom car show were it was given the opportunity to compete in a online vote for Canada Best held by Maguires and if chosen the car will be displayed at the SEMA show. Was the Ontario (At least i think it's Ontario...) Plate Blue in 1971? I was denied the oppertunity to re-license some 1974 plates under the reasoning all blue plates were truck plates and cannot be re-used under Year Of Manuafture program.

Either way love the car +1 from me.

I think you did a fantastic job with the restoration :2thumbs: and I hope you do well with all of your endeavors, but when I talked to you at Megaspeed and you told me it was "all original" and that the only thing you added was the shaker hood....

You forgot to mention that it started life as a Barracuda not a Cuda so there were a few more options and details you added..... :nono:

That kind of "car show BS" is where you lose my vote.

Yes, Ontario passenger car plates were blue with white letters for 1971

Each year they alternated colour schemes until the new series of plates was launched in 1973

So even years were white with blue letters (much like today) and odd years were blue with white letters.  Not sure when all that started, but at least at some point in the 1960s or earlier.

From '73 onwards we had the white with blue letters 'Keep It Beautiful' plates, which were then superseded by the "Yours to Discover" series in the 1980s

For a 1974 passenger car to be registered in Ontario, the correct plates would be an early version of the '73 plates which will have the '73' embossed in them and have the sequence of AAA 123.  I don't believe that you can re-register an old set of those plates as they are still considered current, however, it's worth asking.

Here I was thinking "what a gorgeous car". Sure wish the owner that's asking for support might actually want to talk e-bodies
and not just want votes. To each there own I guess.   :dunno:

Well to your comments and you know who you are you simply asked if it a original car which I implied it is with except for the shaker and then you asked if its a bs car and replied it is so where is the misleading?  As to you saying your barrel cuda was original   Considering I have a photo of the particular 71 with 72-74 quarters being put on the car in the shop and pieced  back together like a model which your hand were no part of. But I excepted you to speak up because you have the time everybody else's builds you cars and you install the parts and the credit goes misleading! So who is realy misleading? Have a nice day. And to whom ever reads this thread the car was built by me and my sons hands in a two car garage over 4 1/2 years except for the paint. And then reassembled by myself. The car is what it is and I am going to enjoy it with my family. I am not here to make a quick buck just to make memories. But to each there own.feel free to vote or not the choice is your but the fact will not change that this car gets driven every day.

The Barrelcuda was restored using parts from 21 different Cudas including a passenger side quarter panel from a 1973 Cuda. As with all my restorations, I out-sourced the body/paint. Maybe you remember...the entire restoration was publicized on the Internet for the whole world to see.....and Keith Sim got all the credit for the metal work.

I believe you mentioned that you had your body/paint preformed in a body shop in Quebec. :dunno: So what's the difference?

Difference is, I don't go around lying about my car telling people at cars shows that it's something that it's not. Your car is a Barracuda BH23N1 not a Cuda BS23N1, so there were a few more things changed then just "adding a shaker".

As for "misleading people about the work I do",  I think you're misinformed. All you would need to do is read my web site...I'm always crediting people if they have done work for me, like Keith,Jules etc...

I also don't visit ALL the Mopar web sites I can find to ask people to "vote for me" just so I can win some sort of title. :screwy:


I said it once and I'll say it again....Your car is a great looking clone, you've done a great job and I hope you win everything you think you deserve :drunk:

At the show you asked me if it was a Cuda and I replied that it wasn't were is the lie?  If you look at the picture taken at Mega speed  the car was displayed with the drivers door wide open for the world to see the vin number. so wouldnt it be far feched for me to tell people that it was a Cuda at the show or anywere else but what ever make you sleep better a night. And the differance is I told you it went to Quebec for paint only I did all the tin work myself!   :dunno:  As for you comming and telling me that I lie to people. whos credabilty is getting hurt  :clueless: You should try to get your comments right. I'm not going to get in a p&$)/@$ match with you. I'm not coming on here and claiming  that I'm a restorer or am I promoting that. I just built the car with my son just trying to make the best of it. Simple if you don't like it don't vote hell  vote for another car. And create a chance to win a prize. As for now I'm going to sit with my family and watch the rest of the playoffs. Enjoy

I don't do anything but cruize nights. I get pissed off enough at those people.  My Cuda is painted as an AAR. It was like that when I bought it. The paint looks good and I didnt have the cash to repaint.   One night a jackass cheby guy comes up asks me how long its been on the road and explains to me how he can tell its not a real AAR. 

First I said "what?" what do you mean. He explains to me that he can tell it was a race car because it has a plug over where the heater blower would be. hmm.. then he tells me it has rear exhaust hangars (it had the side exhaust at the time, but rear hangars were still there).  I said.. Really? huh. well first off. my car was ordered "heater delete" (Hawaii) and that plug is factory. Second, the 440 under the hood didnt give it away?

I hate know it all's
