Sending out heavy parts by Freight
« on: May 30, 2013 - 11:19:45 PM »
I tried out Uship.com today for the first time.
It's a reverse bidding for freighters to bid their lowest bid to ship your goods.

I sent out 2 steering boxes (75 lbs) to get re built. She had 2 baby puppies in her new SUV going to Oregon.
So I felt confident right then my stuff would get to its destination too. She seemed like an honest person.
It works like ebay...kind of.

Any others use Uship.com before?
Mike, Fremont, CA.

I wish there was something like that up here in Canada.   Sounds like the show "Shipping Wars".

I never tried Uship, but I did use Greyhound once, I bought a front lower valence and rear spoiler off a member here. Traditional shipping sources were through the roof, we used Greyhound can`t remember the price but it was reasonable and a lot cheaper than UPS,FED-EX ect. My parts were shipped to the local terminal 5 minutes away nice-n-easy, I like that! Just mentioning this as another option for anyone interested.
