     Does anybody know if you can replace a rope rear main seal with a rubber seal? I have been poking around and it looks like all anybody is selling is rubber seals. What is in there now is a rope seal. The crankshaft is knurled where it meets the seal. Appreciate any input. Thanks! :clueless:phttp://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/Smileys/default/clueless.

    Not that I have tried it but in Rb engines that had rope seals & they can be replced with lip rubber seals so I see no reson why the Poly would not work as well , does the LA seal fit the A series  / poly block though ?
