Is it likely this is fixable?
« on: May 23, 2013 - 03:12:00 PM »

Not much of a body guy now, but i am wondering if this edge piece is fixable. I am hoping it is. Let me know if you need more pics or info. I looks like the edge was shaved off or something. The rest of the fender is rust free and straight as an arrow. Got it for cheap and was worth the risk to me. Let me know thanks.

Looks like the fender was clearanced for taller tires at some point.

As far as fixable- it is, but it will be difficult to return it to stock without a patch piece from another fender...

Would be easiest to cut that piece off another fender if it is good in That spot and weld them together

Thanks for the suggestions, so which way would you guys go with the current fender on it now?

So this is the current driver side fender, do you think i should just cut this one and use that piece for the new piece?

Either find some old rusted fenders for cutting a patch out of or just get some sheet metal and make your own.Metal work is not that hard, just takes a little practice and a few tools. You can bend metal over the edge of a bench by clamping it under a piece of angle and slowly working it over the edge with a hammer and then trimming it to fit.
