4 corner idle system
« on: May 27, 2013 - 01:08:19 AM »
on my 850 Holley DP, the four corner idle adjust screws seem to have backed out a turn or two on their own!
Is this common, and how do you prevent it?
Thanks
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

over time the cork gasket around the screw will dry out & the screws can become loose , the fix is new cork gaskets

I usually just push them into the metering block body dry & push/thread the screw into them , lubing them coul drecreate the problem of them moving .
