Omg.. Wheels of Yesteryear!
« on: June 07, 2013 - 05:56:25 PM »
So brought the family over to Myrtle Beach for a week or so, and couldn't help but visit Wheels of Yesteryear..

Omg the cars that husband and wife have! I guess the cars are cool but what is super cool is both of them are SUPER nice people. Paul has at least ten hemi cars and today had a couple of hemi chargers, a bee or two and two hemi challengers on display..

I was floored. When can I move in???? Amazing. His AAR Cuda and T/A Challenger were awesome and I studied them extensively. Heck, I studied all his cars extensively. There is a limelight green, convertible, Hemi Challenger that I wanted to marry.

But the most amazing thing is they are as humble as can be. He came and told us stories about drag racing in Bristol, about his friendship with Ronnie Sox, and his childhood raising tobacco on his day's farm and his first and second cars.. About a Pontiac he turned over at Bristol and about why he quit drag racing..

As humble as real a dude as if we were talking to an uncle. No ego or cockiness. We had a good discussion as well about doing our own work on cars, and how the good ones are gone..

All in all..... It was an amazing visit and I highly recommend it if you are in the area!!!
