Got the dashpad out
« on: June 07, 2013 - 11:37:54 PM »
Started the dashpad replacement project today. Two guys who have never done it before, one who's new to the classic car game (the would be me). Got the old one out and the new one nearly all trimmed to put in. It appears this car has had the dash removed before which got me thinking about what stories some cars could tell if they could speak. It also makes me realize the insane amount of hours some of you guys put into doing a full restoration. It's going to look so good when we get it done.

Got any pics?

Was there any writing on the dash or glove box?

Ya I got it on the group buy last winter. Finally got it put in and it looks great. It's a hell of a job to change it but well worth it. I'll be taking the core back next week if you need anything.

Found about 2 sq in. of my build sheet taped to the back of the glovebox. Exciting but disappointing also.
