New Mopar Toy Idea
« on: March 25, 2005 - 08:49:21 AM »
Today, I have to go to my nephew's two-and-a-half birthday.

First of all, who the hell gives their kid a 'and-a-half" birthday??  (other than the way too irritating Molly-Homemaker beotch that is my sister-in-law)

Since my brother-in-law (wife's brother..a great guy, thankfully) is a British Car guy, and has a very nice collection, including a previously mentioned '69 Jag E-Type vert, his kid is being brought up in a British Car household.

I would LOVE to be able to give him a Mopar toy, but he's too young for Johnny Lightening, and the 1:18th aren't really 'toys' so much a 'displayables'.

Somebody needs to release a detailed line of Mopar or even muscle cars called 'My First Mopar', or, lesser, 'My First Muscle Car'.

A soft-plastic, but nicely detailed (make it LOOK like what it is supposed to be) muscle car that a kid can play with without any sharp edges or metal pieces.

Maybe have a line with Challengers, Cudas, Chargers, and...to sell more in the line and make it worth while, Camaros, Mustangs and vettes.

The only soft-toy cars available that I have seen are non-descript VW lookin bugs

My nephew needs "his first muscle car'!!

   2.5 birthday???  ahhhhh, nope, never happens!!

You have a great idea there!  You might be able to find some shirts his size, but tough to find child-safe small cars.

Make em like plush toys.
Cloth not plastic. So the very little ones wont ge hurt.
We could fill them with beans. Like beanie babies.
We can call them Meanie Babies or something. :dontknow:

Hay I got an idea! :o We could sell em on e-bay.
Anyone know how to sew? :???:

Do you really want to give him a half-deformed, sagging car... like a beanie baby?  ::)

Make them out of a high density foam, like they make those stress-squeezers out of. And make it larger than 1:18, that way they can actually play with it. And make it kid friendly colors, like plum crazy and hemi orange!
