Carpet vendor help
« on: July 09, 2013 - 12:51:27 AM »
Hi gang after doing what at this point seems like days worth of research on the subject now I feel more confused than ever on who to go with on my carpet purchase. Is there a current, common concensus, on who produces the best looking/fitting carpet kit. I have an original 73 barracuda all stock. Thanks in advance and a link would be amazing!
Cheers,

Contact member ECS..his company was selling the best carpet in the whole wide world. I'm not sure if they're still selling carpets though....not sure there was enough demand. :clueless:

I've installed dozens of carpets and had the best luck with ACC or Trim Parts.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

If you aren't concerned about 100% originality, you can go directly to ACC website, and specify the ESSEX option. There is a ink that explains it. http://www.accmats.com/Products/Flooring/Material.aspx It is nylon cut pile, but in a thicker, more luxurious, taller cut. Same great fit as all the other ACC carpets, just a nicer finish. I believe ECS uses ACC carpets - but don't quote me on that!

I've used them more than once.  :2thumbs: ACC that is, and usually cheaper on EGAG than buying direct...........

Got my ACC carpet from RockAuto, use the 5% off code and you can't beat the price.

ECS carpet is the ACC carpet shipped flat, only difference is they don't fold it up to put in smaller box.

I also 2nd the Essex, lot of info and pics of my install here:
