Door panels?

I gotta question I have all four door panels front and rear the only problem is they dont match! The front ones are blue very faded with that nasty white film! and the rears are black! If I stain them will the back ones turn out darker than the front ones? (Im staining them back the orginal color med blue metalic) And also how to i get the film off with out removing the grain finish should? Or should i just buy new ones any help is appresated! thanks a million< cuda dude! :beer:

oh yea i forgot one thing! Iv also got a console (black) can it be stained and if not how do i go about painting it to med blue metalic? thanks!

They do make black dye for that purpose. Rev posted some pictures a while back of the door panels she re-dyed. They look great.

Hey Cudadude. We dyed ours a while ago, but we were doing a black on black.  I haven't had any experience with changing the colors.  However, when we did ours, the steps before the actual dye, made the panels look really bad....like  you made a BIG mistake.  But the dye covered it right up completely.  I would imagine that if you go through the same procedure (4 steps) it will turn out great.  Here's our page on how we did it.

Wow Rev', that is a cool page on your build-up.
Those panels look great!
Lotsa info I can use if I can ever get time to work on my 'Cuda, thanks for sharing!  :grinyes:

Thanks rev it up!! I couldnt see your panels dang page woulldnt open but thanks ! do you know if the console will work the same as the door panels?  :beer:

Yep..it will.  I did our console also.  Turned out great.  Don't know why that page isn't opening, though.  hmmmm.
