Door glass rubber weatherstrip
« on: May 05, 2014 - 09:18:07 PM »
Hey guys!
It's been a while..
My memory is a little fuzzy on the installation sequence of the weatherstrip/drip rail trim.

Quick question regarding the rubber window weatherstrip.
In order of ass'y
Does the 1" rubber foam strip mount to the body first?
Then do you mount the outer trim moulding (2pieces) to the  seal over the body?
Then the u- channel, then the window rubber?
Anyone have pics they could share of the intersection of the weatherstrip rubber and the quarter window?

Thanks in advance!

Dan

I'd also like to know, I'll getting close to that point.

I think you install rubber seal, then drip rail and then I think another seal between the drip rail and the u-channel, then the u-channel weather strip, but I'm really not sure.

I think it's a Cuda, but Challenger should be similar.

Glue the 1" foam strip to the body.....Install the drip rail molding. Stick the 3/4 foam to the weather-strip channel and install the channel. Now install the window/roof rail weather-strip.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Sorry to jump in here, but I am in the same place.  Anyone know where to buy the u-channel, foam, etc. that goes in here?  And do you know what that is called that the arrow is pointing too and where to buy some?
