Has anyone seen this link?
http://www.autofacts.ca/classics/fast.htmIt is a list of the all-time fastest (1/4 mile acceleration) cars of all-time.
I bet there are many European "sports car" fans who are in shock when they read that a Plymouth and Dodge top all others including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, etc.
Here are the top 5:
1. 1968 Plymouth S/S Barracuda, 426-Hemi, 525 hp, 10.5 secs @ 130 mph
2. 1968 Dodge S/S Hemi Dart, 426-Hemi, 525 hp, 10.5 @ 129 mph
3. 2003 Ferrari Enzo, 6.0 L V-12, 660 hp, 10.8 @ 135 mph
4. 1969 Chevrolet Corvette, ZL1 427, 430 hp, 10.9 @ 132 mph
5. 2004 Porsche Carrera GT, 5.7 L V-10, 612 hp, 11.0 @ 130 mph
The link was on a car-related board and someone already said something like "Well, you can't really call those Mopars production cars." Yes, they were production cars!
