Making this starter fit the 440

This was purchased from 440 source. I cant make it fit my 440, unless i remove the black terminal thingy(whatever the heck its called). Will this be okay ?

you can take that right off and use the other terminals

Yeah,remove those extension terminals for bigblock fitment.
Burnouts are cool but Traction is the Action

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
From what I've been led to believe mini starters first appeared on smallblock injected magnums as the old style starter wouldn't spin quick enough to start injected engines so they were originally intended as a smallblock thing.
It just so happens that by removing the extension terminals they will fit a bigblock so people like us did.
Burnouts are cool but Traction is the Action

I don't know why the change in starters for sure, but I don't think the newer style starter even
came out until after big block production stopped.
If I cant fix it, it's broke
