Weird, they don't have any 340ci or for that matter slant 6 engine listings for '72 Challengers.  Maybe only the 318 cars are valuable?  :roflsmiley:

Something weird happened between April and August of 2012.  Prices at least for the '72 cars spiked!  :grinyes:  Didn't check out the others.

I wonder how they calculated all those numbers?  :clueless:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

They try to explain their methods http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/About-our-prices  I'm guessing they only have a small sample of certain models that effect values dramatically, you would have to look at the long term trends.

I'm thinking we are on the verge of a nascent American renaissance. I'll post a few links later.

Car prices will likely never get where they were, but stable is good.. Perhaps even increases in value.. Good cars will always be sought  after IMHO.
