Replacing fenders
« on: June 29, 2013 - 10:41:17 PM »
I have been told that it would be hard to fix or cant be fix on of the fenders on my Challenger. The one side has a seam running along the diver side fender The other side looks not as bad but damaged. I bought to straight and rust free 73 fenders. My question is does replacing the fenders effect much on the originality of the car a lot? Or should i pay a lot to try to keep it original.  I would like to keep it as original as I can if I can.  Just looking for opinions.

Just change them. No reason to save the original ones if you already have bought a good set.

I would rather have, or buy a car that has nice clean rust free fenders, then have some fenders that I know are patched up and full of filler...

Advertsing a car with "all original panels" means nothing if they are full of patches and bondo... :2cents:

Makes sense to me. Probably will save me money in the long run when it comes to the body work too. I was just trying to get thoughts on what others think about switching pieces out v

:iagree: but most guys prefer nice factory originals over reproductions.

Does this include fenders from a 73 on a 72? It really doesn't matter to me since I am keeping the car for a long time but just wondering.
