Jonesing REALLY bad...
« on: June 25, 2013 - 10:32:55 PM »
Well here we again at the end of June and my cuda is still not on the road.

At this point I am realy jonesing to drive it.

I rebuilt the front suspension over the winter, its all back together, with the exeption of the sway bar, and it need an alignment.

But we moved in May (I drove the car a short distance to the new place) and now we have a bunch of excess STUFF in the garage and can not get to the car to finish it, while we wait for a shed to be built (and the building permit to be issued). Oh an not to mention all of the house things that need to be done, including building a base for the shed.

And to make things worse, my wife screwed up her ankle on the weekend and is currenty laid up fo who knows how long!  I have spent the last two days runing here around to the docotrs, and the kids to school etc.  Not that I mind, but tough to do when you have to work.  :banghead: :banghead: We should know tomorrow if she damaged her ankle and will be laid up longer.

I wan hoping to make some progress on my shed base this week, but that looks unlikely.

I just want to drive my car man!!

sorry just needed to rant.

Jason

Stick with it!   It will happen . . . I typically have to procrastinate about whatever needs to be done for a while to make sure I'm prepaired for a task.   Then do it!

Maybe we will have to have a CC.com thrashing party at your new place to get your car done!  :naughty:

Boy can I understand where you're coming from.

Have my brand new self-assembled 360 in my car.  Last night went to prime the oil pump to check for oil pressure/leaks.  cam plate at the back of the block  :pullinghair:

It seems to run in cycles for all of us. So sorry to hear about your wife's ankle Jason. I hope it's OK! I know sometimes it seems like every weekend it rains (I won't take my Challenger out in the rain) and then is clear during the week.  :swear: Or I have to work every weekend (that's not necessarily a bad thing) so I can't drive the car. Or the car just plain 'ole breaks down with some minor issue that keeps me from driving. I hope the shed comes along smoothly & you can drive that aweome Mopar soon!!  :burnout:

Thanks guys,

I know it will happen, all the work is done, its more the shed that need to be done, but that is waiting on the city.

I hope to get it aligned in the next few weeks and then get back to drving it.  I hope.  I just really need to get the garage cleaned out, and for that I need the shed.

I havent driven mine in over a year while I rebuild  everything!  Just got it painted, and I hope to start assembly soon.  I still have a long way to go.  At least you can see the light!  Let us know how it feels to drive again.  I am having a hard time remembering.   :crying:

Or a shed building party
:iagree: Let us know if that happens, the boys and I built our 24X30 garage and we've all the tools. Even one day with a few lads who know one end of an Estwing from the other would give you a good start.

thanks for all the support guys...shows what a great group of guys we have here.

I got some good news on Friday, the buildign permit was issued for my shed...finally!!!

I spent most of the day today workgin on the base for the shed...went and picked up a yard of back fill and got it all moved in and compacted.

Next... a few yards of gravel and compact it...then I can finally schedule the build date for my shed.  Shoudl onnly take the mennonites a day to put up the shed.

Then I can clean out the garage and make space to install the sway bar and the alignemnt on my car.

Nice to make some progress.
