Paging all 1973 Challenger and Barracuda owners........
« on: April 03, 2005 - 04:16:08 PM »
Hi guys,
I finally made it through all the "found" items I have available for the 1973 Challengers, Barracudas and A-Bodies built at Hamtramck. You can browse the list and look for your VIN in the "found" section of www.hamtramck-historical.com Anything I have is free to the owners of the cars with proof of ownership.

Best of luck,

Barry Washington

Real nice gesture Barry, not to mention the time involved. But I have all the paperwork for mine, except the build sheet that the previous owner tore out of the springs of the seat leaving only the lower left corner, dumb arse, lol

Barry, thanks for taking the time to do the work.  I'm sure anyone who owns any of these cars will appreciate all the effort you put into helping them regain their original documentation.  I'll say this again that if anyone has the '73 E-body (don't know if it came from a Challenger or a Cuda) that originally had a 340 with V.I.N. 061624, I would be willing to give up this complete assembly in return for another original bore 340.

Nick, you'll hopefully find something, provided the mice didn't get a hold of it.

Hey Jim,
That is awesome! Email or call with the VIN when you can and I will pull the file for you.

Thanks for the compliments guys, it does take a lot of time but I enjoy it. I still have stuff to list for other plants and years, so keep checking back. A few folks have emailed to say that they have broadcast sheets and fender tags that they are going to mail in as well, so keep checking back, the found section should grow considerably as time goes on. There are 1202 items listed so far. I need to get another filing cabinet tommorow, they have been filling up fast.

T/Ake care,
Barry
