Interesting Engine Color and air filter for a nut and bolt restoration. Looks like he forgot to paint some of those bolts also...

The air cleaner is definitely not correct, but the engine color could be.  In one of my books around here, it explained that in April of 1971 the engine color of the 340 was switched from orange to blue.  Late builds like my convertible do have blue engines, and it is correct.

Really?!?!?  How do I know if I have the right blue for my car?  What's the name of the blue I need?

They used turquoise on that car in question (see pictures on the bottom) that is an earlier color. It is correct for a 68-69 car. The color you want I believe is Chrysler Blue and it looks blue not turquoise. See it in the plum crazy car below.

Dodge Corporate Blue.

Quite easy to find actually, bought a can to paint my edelbrock intake.

Had it mixed up locally and put into a spray can. I have also bought from my Parts guy and his was an excellent match.

I am no expert, nor want to be, but that Challenger smells.

Where is the fender tag?

All kinds of missing and incorrect parts. How hard would it be to get the correct dash?

Approach that sucker with caution. :aarg:

318 car - suspect that it came out of Southwestern Ontario.

In which case one should have a close look at the alignment of one of the quarter panels.   If it's the same car that I'm thinking of, and the panel wasn't corrected, it was put on about 1/4" out....

Nice battery hold down....
