Hope this helps. It's not very clear but I'll try to find more. I shot it 16 years ago on film and had to scan it to jpeg.

See, I think that looks great (though it is a little hard to see)

I am trying to go with something I can actually bolt onto a flat hood.....and I believe that is possible with the twin snorkel.

Just wondering if it buys me any under hood space really.......I just went back and looked at you first post and you said it did provide good clearance.....so maybe this is a way to go!

Any chance you have any under hood pics of that setup?

I had one of those twin opening Demon hoods on my Aspen. It did give a couple of extra inches right about the carb. Depending on how big a hole you put in your hood, it will provide more or less room because the profile of the scoop tapers down towards the rear. However, since it is a bolt unit, you can alter the position of it to maximize space.

Don't let the thought of rain getting in as a huge problem as I have driven my Cuda many times in the rain with the Hemi scoop and no hood at all and have had no problems, maybe some traction issues
As far as how it would look, that has to please you
I would put a 6 pak style scoop on a Cuda or a shaker as the Cuda bodylines are nice and smooth as those scoops are.I love the T/A scoop but only on a Challenger as that scoop and the bodylines on a Challenger are more cut out(I was never a big fan of the AAR style scoop or the Cowl induction style)but thats my 2 cents.

I havent found a 6 pack scoop that bolts on yet, at least not one with a big @ss flat flange all the way around it......that was on my list to consider, if I could find one.....

The bolt on twin scoops do not have that flange.......

Might have to make you own. Trim the flange down until the edge is flat on the hood, then fiberglass the studs to the interior wall.

Well, that is a thought and maybe a good idea......wonder how tough that would be........seems like someone would have made one with studs though if it was doable?

i just do not like the look of the flanges......and I do not plan on glassing it into the hood......

I think the glass hemi scoop on my 69 came from a company called VFN fiberglass and that had metal tabs molded in and a nice sturdy base.

Thanks!   I like the look of that scoop.......just not sure it is "tall" enough to get me underhood clearance.  Do not need it as the engine is setup NOW.....but if I wanted to go with a higher manifold, etc, no room.....I actually had to use a "dropped" lower air cleaner pan so I could fit a normal size element under there.....

Well, I heard back from AAR and they told me "The scoop that you are interested in (4 ½” cowl) will have to be body worked at the seam to have the glove fit you need.  Unfortunately, we do not have the mold for that year group in order to do this.  "

I am a little cornfused -- AAR makes fiberglass hoods for the barracuda -- why wouldnt they have a mold for one?    :clueless: :dunno:

Bummer for me...I am not a body man and the prospect of having to alter a $350 scoop scares me.  :pullinghair:
