wiper motor difference

hi can any one tell me whats different on a 72-73 challenger wiper motor to a 70 unit,[3speed],I need to buy a new unit but can only find 72-73 models for sale,im not worried about having the correct year wiper motor,just one that works,any sugestions on where to get one from who would ship it to me in new Zealand,thanks.

Normally the difference is the switch plate.  70-71 had the flat switch plate where the wires solder to and 72 and later had the one with the black humpy center.  The output shaft is a smaller diameter, the shaft you mount the crank arm to, but the small output shaft will work with either the 2822289 crank arm or the 3431518 crank arm.  That's about the only difference besides the part numbers.  Hope that helps out     :bigsmile:
